Dr. Bryan McNally Testifies Before State Senate
On October 27, Bryan McNally, MD, MPH, testified before the Emergency Cardiac Care Centers Study Committee of the Georgia State Senate. Dr McNally is Executive Director of CARES, the Cardiac Arrest Registry to Enhance Survival, a shared database created by the Emory University Department of Emergency Medicine and the Centers for Disease Control. CARES enables communities to quantify, track and improve their response to cardiac arrest, enhancing survival rates. The Senate is studying the possibility of creating a designation for Emergency Cardiac Care Centers in Georgia analogous to Certified Stroke Centers.
