FBI has named Atlanta as one of 14 cities in the U.S. with the highest incidence of children used in Sex Trafficking
On November 24, 2015, Georgia’s Attorney General, Samuel S. Olens, presented at Emory University, Department of Emergency Medicine’s Grand Rounds. The topic of the presentation was related to Sex Trafficking in Georgia. The statistics he provided were stunning, and the information he shared about connections to Georgia organizations that provide assistance to victims was invaluable to our medical and public health professionals. The Attorney General’s Office, and Dr. Jeff Seigelman, Assistant Residency Director for Emory’s Department of Emergency Medicine worked together to bring this important information to Emory.
